Whenever you ask a regular person to name fine artists they know, they immediately say Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh or maybe even Dalí or Matisse. But what about the amazing women in the art world? They usually are overlooked or not known at all. La Mónica, named after feminist Mexican artist Mónica Mayer, is an art museum highlighting the women whose works were able to thrive in the art world and those who are making their way there.
